Ross Reed

An accomplished and caring Personal Trainer, Ross's theoretical and practical areas of specialisation lay at almost opposite ends of the fitness spectrum.

Ross's first passion is Strength and Conditioning which he has pursued himself for most of his life and he holds many accreditations within this area including Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting, Speed and Agility, and Kettlebells. With Boxing being another area of interest, he has gained other forms of training accreditations such as pad work and boxing basics.

Ross is also qualified in sports massage and has his own practice where he utilises his broad skillset to release and restore function in tight areas whilst training weaker areas of the body. He has had many opportunities working with imbalances, dysfunctions and posture correction and regularly works with physiotherapists as part of rehabilitation programmes.

Ross has worked with fitness models to amateur athletes and professional events such as the London Marathon and Tokyo Rugby World Cup and everything in-between but has realised that most people are not ready to begin their Strength and Conditioning gym journey straight away. This is where Ross really excels as he ensures the correct foundations are established, balanced and stable to allow them to be firmly built upon, but he is realistic as he also recognises and advises that for some individuals strength & conditioning won't be entirely possible to a high level because of extensive personal issues such prior injuries or underlying chronic conditions. So in response to this Ross has accumulated a substantial skillset so he can work with those who are keen to improve their physical health and wellbeing and he is also qualified and extensively experienced in training special populations such as those who have Diabetes, Obesity, Cancer rehab, Lower back pain, Cardiac Phase 4 Rehab, COPD Pulmonary Rehab, Neurological conditions, senior citizens, disabilities, GP Referrals, and Pre and Post Natal women.

Ross has a proven track record of creating a variety of bespoke programmes for clients whether their goals include strength gains, endurance, physical size or just wanting to walk up the stairs pain-free. He remains on top of CPD with regular attendance of courses and seminars and learning new techniques in his areas of specialisation.

Ross believes that participating in safe, regular, and tailored exercise coupled with good nutrition is the most effective way to achieving and maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. This means that both your physical and mental wellbeing will increase and by improving body composition, self-confidence and the ability to focus on achieving your goals whilst reducing the risk of many long term health problems can only be described as a win-win scenario.
